We're already to mid-spring and nature has awakened from winter dormancy. In keeping with the energy of the seasons, I took a little winter break, too. I rested, spent a lot of time with Michael and our animals, I taught and practiced yoga - it was perfect. As the days lengthen, my focus has shifted to my own plant collection. They are impossible to ignore with new growth, and their energy so poppy and vibrant, I can almost see it. What I can definitely see is that I have a ton of work to do - pruning, repotting, making soil, cleaning, and even a little pest management. I'll bet some of you guys are in the same boat.
So starting in May, I'll be resuming my consulting appointments where we work together in your home or business. I'm already booked through mid-May, so this is going to be a busy season. The consulting is free, and I charge $30/hour for plantwork (cleaning, repotting, pruning, etc.). Included in that fee, I provide basic (but lovely) soil and work with your pots/containers. I make an amazing premium blend soil, available for purchase at additional cost. I've got containers and supplies available for purchase, as well. Some of you have been asking to purchase soil, and I'm hoping to have bags ready to pick up by June 1st.
This year, I'm offering drop off/and pick up plantwork services. This means you bring your houseplants to me (South Kansas City), I'll clean and tend to them, and then you can bring them home thriving and revitalized. Consulting is free, and I charge $25/hour (basic soil included, you provide the container or buy from me).
I will be offering workshops again this year - basic plantwork, advanced plantwork, and succulent container creating. Stay tuned for those days. Previous workshop attendees, you're more than welcome to repeat workshops free of charge (love you guys!). Oh and contact me if you'd like to arrange a group party/workshop (they are super fun). If I have any time, I'd love to have some open plantwork days for you guys to come over and we all just hangout and work on our plants together and eat snacks.
After I post this, I'm on my way to my growers to look at new succulents and houseplants. OMG, I love plant shopping. I'm going to start planting succulent containers, which will be available to purchase later in the summer and fall. They will be fully healed in and stable, perfect for their new homes. My containers sold out really fast last year, so let me know if you're interested and I'll plant one (or more) with you in mind. They are so beautiful. I'll post photos. Price range is $50-$100-ish.
Last, I have a few openings for regular plantwork maintenance, where I come to your home or business and care for the plants weekly. Let me know if you're ready for someone to take over their care. I'm an amazing plantworker. Ask Second Best Coffee or Yoga Patch.
Happy Spring! I've missed you guys. I can't wait to nurture your plants.
